Last day of visa application help

Hi all,
Can anyone please let me know is it ok to apply via post on the last day of application.
For example- last day of visa applied for ILR via royal mail 1st delivery after 12 (last post collection at 12) on saturday therefore document will deliver on tuesday rather monday.
please let me know will it be a problem or i'm just getting stresses for no reason.
Any suggestions/views would be highly appreciated.
Moderators please share any UKBA guidelines about apply timelines would be very helpful.

The date of posting will be taken as the date of application.

Yes. Keep the receipt of posting safe.

I have done it "last day saturday by royal mail" for my t1 extn in april 2015 as t1 extn were closing..

No need to stress out.

Time doesnt matter.. its date of application only..

Above says for t1g but for dates.. dont think ilr gonna be different

It's the rule for all visa applications submitted by post in the UK. For BC applications however, it will be the date the HO receives it, or if submitted through the NCS, it will be the date the application is presented at the NCS.
