mansoorb wrote: ↑Fri Jun 22, 2018 11:54 amFinally my 10 year wait is over. I got m ILR yesterday via postal services. I still cannot believe as this has been a long wait. I think I got a few exceptions.
1. I had more than 50 days break between my last and new visas back in 2012-2013
2. I applied via postal services in Feb 2018, which is 5 months before my actual 10 year eligibility
3. Got my ILR 15 days before my 10 year completion
4. First came to UK in 2008 on a Workpermit
5. My total absence spread over the last 10 years was about 150 days.
My take away:
1. Be honest to the HO and provide every single documentation they ask for. Keep everything crystal clear.
2. HO considers exceptions. So if you pay your taxes regularly and should proper bank and employment details, they consider it.
I wanted to share this with you in case it helps.
Thanks

Many thanks for sharing your experience, I would be keen to know more details as I have quite similar issues.
1. Can you tell details about ''50 days break between my last and new visas back in 2012-2013''
I applied Tier 2 extention in 2015 and it was refused for some silly reason( new SOC and job title without RMLT), the solicitor failed my AR and I submitted fresh application within 3 days after my AR was conclused fail, and finally got VISA extension granted about 50 days later, I continuted to work for same employer. not sure if this is a gap for 10 year ILR ?
2. I also submitted my ILR application 2 months before my 10 years qualifying date ( first VISA stamped date), is there any document or cover letter you provided to support this issue?
Many thanks for sharing your experience to give me some hope.

It is a standard letter sent to many applicants across various visa categories.Navi05 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 25, 2018 8:10 pmHi everyone could you help me out here please, I applied for ILR LR in March, today I have received a letter about complex issues saying won’t be able to consider my case in 6 months, what sort of complex issues it can be and how long they will take. Am very very stressed at present.
You should Not withdraw. Applying by premium service does not guarantee a same day decision and if HO has Maybe already flag something to check on your current postal application, it will again be held and become a postal application and you lose the premium fee.Navi05 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 25, 2018 10:16 pmUrgent help needed here please. I have applied for set LR 5 March 2018, done my biometrics in 20 April today received letter for complex issues please suggest me it will be possible to withdraw postal application and apply for premium service, will it cause overstay or not, it will be good idea or not.
Is that so ? But why does it list it then when selecting premium service center. I was about the reschedule my wife's appointment to an earlier date and when checking other PSC's I came across London Victoria. Was about to book it but no slots were available. There is no mention of categories though when you select that center.
Just stating what the website says.tier1-immigrant wrote: ↑Wed Jun 27, 2018 4:13 pmIs that so ? But why does it list it then when selecting premium service center. You do not count the day of departure or the day of return to the UK. It is only WHOLE days out of the UK.
Correct yes.
Hi Mansoob, just wondering why would u submit the Set(LR) forms 5 months prior to the 10 months period? what reason did u provided for the early applications? As i thought its 28 days before the 1st date of entry to the uk?mansoorb wrote: ↑Fri Jun 22, 2018 11:54 amFinally my 10 year wait is over. I got m ILR yesterday via postal services. It's a home office practice which they use in some cases. 5 months is nothing to be honest.Mystarch89 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 29, 2018 9:58 pmHi Mansoob, just wondering why would u submit the Set(LR) forms 5 months prior to the 10 months period? what reason did u provided for the early applications? Ah ok. So basically it is still taking a risk of a possible rejection then? I'm contemplating it myself as i'm in the process of securing mortgage and some lenders are saying if i get ILR then they will be more than happy to consider but before that, they wont offer me decent rates thus im just waiting for the 10 year mark to dawn to try to put in a premium application hopefully to sort it .Momi wrote: ↑Mon Jul 02, 2018 10:44 amIt's a home office practice which they use in some cases. 5 months is nothing to be honest.Mystarch89 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 29, 2018 9:58 pmHi Mansoob, just wondering why would u submit the Set(LR) forms 5 months prior to the 10 months period? what reason did u provided for the early applications? I know 1 case where person applied after completing 9 years and 15 days and he got ilr in 5 months.
One of my house mate applied 6 months before and he got ilr 1 months before completing 10 years.
If you have strong ties with Uk then case worker use the discretion.
In my case many good solicitor and barristers said me to apply now because my all family including mother, brother, sister everyone is living in uk, I have my own properties and I'm an active charity volunteer but I'm still waiting for my 10 years to complete just be on safe side.
No, nothing has been announced.Kmkhaled wrote: ↑Fri Jul 06, 2018 12:11 amHi everyone...hop all is well...any changes happened to Set LR ...on 6th july 2018?.... any update regarding 10 years apllication ...prosses....any law update and exprience share will be helpful for other people who is waitting to apply SET(LR)...thanks in advance...
By the way, the bank statements are originals and not electronic or printout copies.Abdul1274 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 12, 2018 11:57 pmOne thing I forgot to add.
I had lost the first passport I used to enter the UK with which ran from 2008-2010.
However, I ordered bank statements that covered the period I had the old passport and received them few days ago. The thing is the bank statements do not have bank stamps on them so I was wondering if it will be necessary to have the statements stamped or not?
