Can you please tell us y ur application was refused? And if ur appeal was allowed and home office didnt appealed against the judges decesion then they cant refuse u now they have to give u another 2.5 year visa unless in certian cases where an applicant have used deception they can refuse the visa even with the allowed appeal.

I am sharing my story because some people may find some hope. A little back ground :
I came here as a student in 2006. Due my solicitor mistake I had 3 months gap. The gap was from 9 years 4 months to 9 years 7 months. I made FLR(O) to continue 10 years. After completing 10 years I submitted SET(LR)
Standard Application
I applied for SET (LR) On: 22/11/2016
Application received : 24/11/2016
Bio metric letter received: 14/01/2017
Application approval letter received :02/01/2018
BRP card : hoping receive with in 10 working days.
It took more than a year to get my result.

Hi Hassan
Same thing here. Its been 5 months now since appeal allowed and home office not replying. MP wrote to them a month ago and they did not reply then I pushed MP again. He called and asked for an update couple of days ago. Home office said because appeal allowed under human rights therefore its a complex case and comes outside normal service standards. They are not giving any timeline for when I will get the visa. I would suggest to keep pushing your MP to enquire from Home Office.

Hi
Thanks for the reply. My appeal was also allowed under human rights so i guess i still have to wait long time like you because they are not replying to my mp as she wrote to them twice already. Will wait till end of the month a if no response then will ask mp to write again.

Hi. Alhamdulillah received my ilr brp and passport today. As I told earlier MP called Home office on last Monday and explanied Home office the stress caused due to long wait. Home office issued visa on thursday and informed MP on Friday. I would suggest to push your MP and explain you are going through a lot of stress due to the long wait. If Home Office not replying in writing then ask MP to call them.
Thank you everyone and best of luck.

Hey guys,
I've got a couple of questions about SET(LR) application form and appreciate your help and experience:
On the cover page under title 'DUTY TO STATE ALL REASONS TO REMAIN IN THE UNITED KINGDOM' its asks to mention all reasons in the box at the end of section 3.2. Now:
- Section 3.2 is just a simple yes/no question and there is no box there. Is this a typo or am I missing something?
- There is a box in D15 for such purpose, but before you reach there in D11 it clearly says if you're not (family of) EEA national exercising treaty rights go to section E, which means leaving D15 empty. I'm a non-EU resident and don't need to fill in this section. So, where should I give reasons? Perhaps in a separate letter?
- Since I'm a non-EU resident, do I need to give any reason at all? I'm starting to believe that the requirement on the cover page only refers to EEA national and they are required to give reasons, but I don't need to. Am I the only one to think this way?
Anyone had experience with this before, especially the non-EU applicants?
Thanks
Hi Alijy,
I got the same confusion about the box at end of section 3.2!
Did you managed to find where is this?
Thanks
Gopi

I thought it was 180 days that break continuity not 62 days. Why 62 days break created problem for you?

Hi
It was a gap between 2 application my leave to remain was rejected due to non payment then after that i reapplied after 2 months . Because i move to different address and i have to gather all the new ids and documents for the new application after the rejection home office kept my doc for 3 months for no reason so it was home office fault not mine. They refused me because they said i was without any leave for 62 days. But i appealed and convinced judge that this gap was due to fault of home office not mine.

Can anyone adviseen if you were an asylum seeker who was later granted status because of other reason, and you have spent 10 years 5 with with Student visa 4 asylum and 2 leave to remain, does it count as 10 years. And what best for evidence .
My issue is when I was refused at tribunal I did not apply for anything but was on nasser support accommodation with money weekly until I meet the condition of 7 years parent of a child Now I might not subjecto to immigration control

I think u cannot count the time in which u applied for asylum towards ur 10 year long residency i think ur long residency break when u apply for asylum.

Hi members,
My application for SET(LR) is approved and I received all my documents except my degree and live in UK test. I will need them in future so how would I get them back?
and secondly I varied my this application from SET(O). I paid the new fee for LR application, what is the procedure to refund my previous application fee? Is there any HO Number or email ?
Hope to hear someone soon.
Thanks

Hi vesh123,
Congrats on your ILR.
Did you get another questionnaire after you varied your application and do you have any tax amendments?

Please do not ask about tax amendments in this topic. Search the users posts and post in a relevant topic.
