FIRST CHILD PASSPORT

Post by Hadydock67 » Tue May 10, 2016 2:25 am

I was informed by the passport helpline, that I can apply for a child passport (from the UK) for my 7 yr old daughter even though she resides abroad with her mother who is also my wife. I understand that my daughter is automatically a BC (even though she was born abroad) but gets BC status through me as I was born in the UK. I now have the passport application form, but some sections are a little bit confusing even though I have the guideline booklet available and it's also assuming my daughter lives here in he UK, but she doesn't.
Am assuming in SECTION 2 the address will be my UK address and NOT my daughter's abroad address?
SECTION 3 do I need to send in my daughter's foreign passport?
SECTION 10 the person providing the counter signatory, do they need to know and have met my daughter? She has never been to the UK, so if they are signing the passport photo saying "they certify it to be a true likeness" of my daughter? Or does that bit not matter, once they've known me for over 2 years?

Kind regards
Peter
