Depression is a serious matter. I was trying to lighten up the OP's mood, as well as providing some advice for dealing with her depression.

Mrsmoss94: You need to send an application to the HO before signing on at the police station. They will mark your attendance and I believe they will ask you if you plan on sending an application to the HO if you don't have any outstanding case with them. Ideally, you should have one. That's what I heard from an immigration official at the reporting centre while he was interviewing someone.
You have misunderstood Vinny's post, which was helpful and well-intended. Have you actually taken the time to read through the support advice in the blue links?

That wasn't the kind of advice she was looking for.

Well, I wish I could help her but if the fee exemption for the visa has been refused, that's it. All I know is what happens at the reporting centre. I've been there a couple of times.

So, Mrsmoss94, I would say keep calm and go to the police station to report. It's actually not bad and they all treat the overstayers with respect. As you don't have any outstanding application with the HO, take your marriage certificate with you as well as your spouse's passport, your children's birth certificate.
If you really don't have the money to pay for the visa, perhaps contact the HO again. Give them detailed information about your situation.

Thank you all. I emailed HO, just saying how this is making me ill. I received a letter saying
"Thank you for your application for permission to stay in the UK. Your application raises issues relating to the European convention on human rights, which are complex in nature. As such, it falls outside our normal service standards for deciding leave to remain applications. Please be assured that we will make a decision on your case as quickly as possible me."
The signature space is blank, and was dated in JANUARY! I have also received a one call from the removals team, telling me they needed more evidence and will email me what they need, that was on 9 may, it is now 15 may and I have not had any email or letters through. I broke down other phone, my daughter has just been diagnosed with autism. I'm having anxiety attacks daily. I was brought and left here like rubbish. She seemed very nice on the phone. I don't understand why she hasn't emailed me yet.

Thank you so much everyone.
