ILR granted in 1996 now divorced but remarrying

Post by nsnowehill » Thu May 19, 2016 1:10 pm

Hi there,
Rather complicated but I have ILR granted from 1996 when i was married to my ex husband, our marriage was 16 years long and then our relationship ended and we divorced in 2012. I am employed full time and pay uk taxes since i started working. My ILR is in a previous passport so although ok to carry my original passport for entering the uk and so on if i were to switch jobs it would not be good as proof of my right to work here, I am uk resident but still have my canadian passport and citizenship. My question is one where i need advice in what to do. I will be remarrying and will need to renew my passport in my married name and need to know the rprocedure and costs.. do i apply for a biometric residence permit or ROA or?

Any help would be appreciated.
thanks
canadian in UK
