ILR Tier2 General

Post by haidri5 » Tue May 24, 2016 8:11 am

HEllo!

I first came to the UK as a student in 2008, I switched to Tier 2 General in FEB 2012, as a office Manager Then I changed employment to a different sponsor in Sep 2013 as a office Manager. My current leave expires in Nov. 2016 and My ILR is due in Feb 2017. Do I need a minimum salary of 35K to apply for ILR?

Thank you

Yes, you will need to be earning a min of 35K/year for ILR.
How do you plan to account for the time between the expiry of your present leave and your ILR eligibility date?

First you need to apply for a Tier-2 General Extension in November 2016.
Later you will need to apply for ILR once you qualify.

For the Tier-2 extension for the SOC code 4161 £19,100 per annum would be enough. This means you will get an extension as long as your sponsor is willing to extend your stay. You can get a Tier-2 extension upto a maximum of 6 years. This means your Tier-2 extension will be given up to FEB 2018.

Yes. You need to earn at least £35,000 per year to qualify for ILR based on 5 year Tier-2 to ILR route.
