I applied for the same as Tier 2 General, see my link threads below

http://www.immigrationboards.com/indefi ... l#p1350355

Hi All,

By the grace of Almight Allah, I got my ILR approved on same day service 19.05.2016 / BRP recieved 23.05.2016

I would like to thank all members of this forum and special thanks to the moderators and everyone who have provided me with advise. Below is my experience

Category: Tier 2 (General)
Dependents: 0
Total fees paid: 2375
PEO: Croydon
Employment status: Full time salaried employment
Out of UK absences: total 26 days

also I added a cover letter stating all documents included

1. SET (O) Application form (04/2016)
2. BRP Card x1
3. Current Passport Original x 1
4. Expired Passport Original x 2
5. Photos X 2 (however they took only one not sure why)
6. Life in the UK Pass Certificate
7. English Language B1 Certificate
8. Original Payslips x 6
9. P60 x 4 (Letter covering for 5 years from HMRC as i had 1 p60 missing)
10. HMRC Letter
11. Personal Bank Statements 6 months– Original
12. Employer Referral letter
13. All absences from UK along with reason for absence from employer
a. Copy of eTickets for absences abroad
b. Passport with Entry and Exit stamps
14. Photocopies of all the supporting documents.

Reached at 7:30, and was taken in was first to arrive. My appointment was at 9:10. Was made to sit in the cafe and asked to come and take token 15 mins before appointment scheduled time. Queued and token received at 09:00am.

I was called for submission of documents at 09:30, took approx 10 to 15 minutes. Then i waited for Biometric in the waiting area, called for Biometric at 09:50. Silly me kept my phone on silent case worker called from private number at 10:35, then he called back again at 10:48am. I put in a copy of my application as well, so he said as its not required if I am happy for it to be shredded securely. I said ok. At around 11:00 my Token number was called for collection of documents and the approval letter and original docs was handed over to me. Also it really does save time to give Photocopies of all the supporting documents as my time total was only 2 hours.

Few additional information I wanted to share (some of them as :
1. I didn't mention on form that i had a £100 fine for speeding, as its clearly stated in the section not to.(quoted from set o 04/2016 form Note: You must give details of all criminal convictions, including spent convictions. This includes
convictions for road traffic offences, including drink-driving offences, but not fixed penalty notices)
(such as speeding or parking tickets).
2. I didn't fill the below sections
1.10 (home office reference as i dint have one)
5.5 Rate of pay for this SOC code stated in the codes of practice (hourly rate or annual salary).as i dint have one
7.13. How long have you lived in the UK? I have mentioned since the first time I entered that is 2006 and not as my tier 2 in 2011.

Any queries let me know happy to help :)

Hi - you need your 5 years P60 to reflect your earnings. Also the HMRC letter I put in as i had only 4 and misplaced 1. so if you call HMRC and request they for your 5 year history letter, it takes around 3 weeks to arrive. so dont book any appointments until you receive it, thats if you are looking to get a letter from HMRC.

Hello,

If you are applying under Tier 2 ( General) 5 year route then, you do not need to submit any P 60's or HMRC letters- at least I did not and got mine approved .

The basis for for Tier 2( General ) Settlement is that you are required by your employer to do a specific job above certain skill levels, and earning thresholds and the letter from the employer should prove this. Not sure what the HMRC as to do with it unless you were not PAYE , in which case you would not be Tier 2 General ?

Hi,

Just read the SET(O) Form. Page 75, 76 and Page 77.
P60's are really not required and not mandatory. You can however furnish them if needed.
