Tier 2 visa curtailment after living 6 years

Hello,

I have been in UK since 2009. I came here as a student and then followed the route into PSW and Tier 2. After working for a company for 3 years I have now been made redundant. I received the visa curtailment letter, with expiry of 8th July 2016. Having lived here for 6 + years, it is really stressful that we (me and my husband) has to leave the country. Besides there is added 12 month cooling off period.

Is there any way out of this? 6 years in this country, we have a life, house. It feels weird and completely strange to go back.

Does anyone heard of such situation or have been and gladly got out of it?
I have tried speaking to immigration lawyer but they redirect to home office rules.

Unfortunately cannot appeal or even ask for administrative review. Seems all doors are closed...
Any help would be appreciated.

Find another Tier 2 Sponsor for you or your husband or look at Tier 4 for either of you.

Hello Char,

Thanks for your response. Considering I have only 40 days left, I am doubtful to find a Tier 2 sponsorer who would finish RLMT and role out the offer before 8th July.

I am guessing there is nothing that I can do. 6 years seems really long and its darn difficult.. tier 4 is not an excellent option as I would have to invest about £10K into one yr of studies and still be able to find a sponsorer by end of it.

I really wish there was some exception for people who had been around for such a long time.
