Re: Eligibility criteria for 90 days concession rule

Post by Mary937 » Sun Apr 10, 2016 6:16 pm

Thank you CR001.

I just travelled a lot and of course cannot remember dates for so many years back. I just thought if someone has SAR forms already, they could share their info with me (would it be only dates of landing to the UK or also dates of leaving the UK).
What would be a reaction of case worker if I put an explanation that I do not remember dates of my travels? Thank you.

Does visitor visa count towards qualifying period in uk??

Post by Mary937 » Sun Apr 10, 2016 7:23 pm

Dear Senior Members,

Please make it clear for me as I was sure that visitors visas are not included towards 10 years residence or was I wrong??
I had 2-3 tourist visas to the UK and the last tourist visa was when I landed 20/06/2006. Then I had a student visa (entry clearance) from 18/07/06 and entered to UK on 10/08/06.

Questions please:
1. Shall I include my tourist visa in calculation of 10 years (would it be continuous)? Any documents which can prove it please?

2. Shall I still apply for ILR 28 days before entering on 10/08/06 (entry clearance visa) or something different due to including my 2-3 tourist visas please? All tourist visas were before entry clearance visa.

Thank you very much.

M.

1. Possible.

2. Perhaps 28 days prior to 10th anniversary of initial entry.

Thank you Vinny.

Initial entry would be a first entry into the UK and not 10/08 in my case please? How about my previous question about a reaction of case worker if I state in application that I do not remember exactly dates of travelling in and out UK due to not having a passport for 2 years? Any possibilities of rejection based on not providing exactly dates? I am asking about your experience on this website please (as I am struggling to read 1100 pages from post for long residency)??

Thanks a lot for your help.

Why are you sending copies? You have to send the original passports.

I consider both variants. In what case would I need to have copies of passports too please?

Also I have an underpaid tax and HMRC set direct debit and taking money from my account every month till middle of 2017. I am going to apply for ILR in 2016. Would underpaid tax affect my application please?? Thank you.

Copies only needed if applying in person.

HO might ask about your tax. They check your tax history on HMRC system. Suggest you take/send any HMRC letter about repayment with your application.

CR001 thanks a lot for your help.

Shall I take copies of previous passport and a current passport? Also should it be copies of all pages or they need only pages with stamps please?

Have a lovely day!!

Guys, what are you doing with these days when you were out of the country please? Do you just list them on the paper or do you provide copies of all your flights? I mean copies of all your flight tickets as a confirmation?

I requested SAR but they did not send me landing cards between 2006-2011, they only sent for later periods. What shall I do? Shall I honestly say that do not remember exactly dates of my travelling? Thank you.

When we calculate days of absences we do not need to include days of outbound flights and return flights, correct? Thank you:-))

Book visa premium service

Post by Mary937 » Sat May 14, 2016 2:53 pm

Hello Guys,
Can we use visa premium service for ILR applications and how many days in advance could we book an appointment please?
Do we need to pay the whole amount (visa +£500) when we book an appointment online please?
Is there any preferences for any centres please and you are ready to travel from London somewhere else because they have a better centre? Thank you!!

Through which route are you applying for ILR? Yes premium service is available. Appointments are available 20-28 days in advance.

Yes, payable when you book.

Some centres are better for certain routes to ILR so it does depend on which route you are on to ILR.

I have merged your topic so that anyone who offers advice can understand your full circumstances.

You can apply no sooner than within 28 days of your 10 years lawful residence date.

Appointments are not available earlier than 28 days please? What centres are better for 10-years ILR route?

You cannot apply earlier than within 28 days of reaching 10 years residence. If you apply too early, your application will be refused.

Appointments to BOOK are only available online between 20-28 days in advance, ie dates for end of June for example will not be available now to book.

If your case is straightforward and you have all your documents/passports, any centre should be fine. If your case is not straightforward, suggest apply by post.

Do we need to take photographs if we use visa premium service please? It is written on website that photographs and fingerprints will be taken at the centre. So I am confused why people are still taking photographs with them? Thank you.

You need to submit photographs (passport size) with your application, in the same way as you do for all applications to HO.

The 'photo and fingerprints' done at the appointment is the biometric enrollment. It does not mean you don't have to submit photos with your application.
