Child Benefit - Spouse/Kids on Tier 1 G dep

I have recently obtained ILR (Indefinite leave to remain) but my 2 kids and spouse are still on Tier-1 dependant visa's and they will be eligible to ILR only after 3yrs. Can i still claim Child Benefit for my 2 childrens as my understanding is that from this post is after ILR i am eligible to claim benefits even though my children are not in ILR status as the benefits are claimed by me?

Yes, you can claim child benefit in YOUR name.

If you claim tax credits, you must claim in joint name with your spouse.

Thanks CR and I am planning for renewal of Tier-1 dependant visa for my 2kids and my wife in Nov2016 I hope that if i claim child benefit this wont affect their renewals?
