Application for ILR Settlement (Protection Route)

Post by Ncramandeep » Sat Jun 11, 2016 6:31 pm

I applied for ILR Settlement in November and received an acknowledgement letter dated the 20th of November. Following Biometrics i did not hear from UKBA for 6 months and wrote to them first wee of June 2016. I received a letter from Home Office stating:-
I am writing to inform you that further enquiries need to be made before a decision can be made on your application for settlement, and as such the application has been passed to the team where these enquiries can be carried out.
I was wondering if this is a standard letter sent when there is a delay and wonder what sort of enquiries they are referring to.
Please advise.

It is a standard letter, many people get it. Means that HO will take a bit longer than published timeframes to process and decide your application.
