BRP Card

Hi All,

I had my apt on Friday 10th June and have been successful getting my ILR. Now I have to wait for BRP which they said will be delivered in 7-10 working days. We have got a medical emergency in India and we (especially husband) have to travel to india as soon as possible. We have booked the flight for 23rd June to allow 7 working days to receive BRP card and if received early we will fly early. My questions are:

1) Are they any delays getting BRP card this days? or how long does it actually take i.e more or less than 7 days?

2) If in case we do not receive are card by 22nd, can my husband travel without a card and I can travel late and take his card along with me so that we can use it when we re-enter UK.

Please can someone help with my query

1. It varies. Some people get them within a couple of days, others have waited a few weeks.

I just had msg from my husband that BRP cards have arrived but we did not receive card for our son. When I was asked to check address for all 3 or us to send BRP card, he had door no. 9 instead of 19 for my son. I advised them of correct door no. and they updated their system at the same time. The lady who delivered the card said his card might arrive tomorrow and also keep watch of his name just in case they did not amend the address.

Hope this will not cause a problem.
