Yes, you can use any such form to apply for confirmation of PR.tresgoya wrote:I have the EEA (PR) form, but now I've read there was a shorter EEA3 form. Is it still possible to use the EEA3, is it still valid? That form never came up when originally querying the gov.co.uk site for PR application. Why are there 2 types of forms for EEA nationals to claim PR? Is there any difference in the processing times?
Thanks for ur reply! Regarding Biometric information: do EEA nationals need to do that too? I thought not. Is there a waiting time for that? (sorry i did google it and it said to go to post office and all, but it's still not clear if there was a waiting time...I wanted to send in my PR application next week...noajthan wrote:Yes, you can use any such form to apply for confirmation of PR.tresgoya wrote:I have the EEA (PR) form, but now I've read there was a shorter EEA3 form. Or, if you are feeling hardcore, you could simply apply by letter.
There's no mystery; there is the current 'monster' form and also earlier (simpler) versions of the form still to be found in the forum or else buried within the Gov UK archive website.
There should be no noticeable advantage or disadvantage to using any format of form;
all good as long as all necessary and relevant information, supporting documents/evidence, biometric information and correct fee is submitted.
(Some members mention in the timelines thread when they have used an earlier version of the form).
Not EEAs no - as they (you) should have a biometric passport.tresgoya wrote:Thanks for ur reply! Regarding Biometric information: do EEA nationals need to do that too? I thought not. No. Only non-EEA nationals applying for PR need to enrol their Biometrics.Thanks for ur reply! Regarding Biometric information: do EEA nationals need to do that too? I thought not. Thanks for ur swift help! I just really want to get this bundle out the door now.noajthan wrote:For such a short blip nothing to worry about really.
Anecdotally, and in some government guidance documents, it appears that very short gaps may be disregarded anyway.
A lot of the information on the 'monster' PR form is not legally required under EU law.
'Reason for job change' seems to fall into that category.
Ofcourse you should not lie or conceal information;
job change, career move, personal/family reasons, downsizing, upsizing, personal or "mind your own business" etc all sounds reasonable and should be fine as long as you can justify it (if ever asked).
In fact its not a legal or mandatory requirement to use the latest 'monster' PR form at all.
There are earlier (simpler) versions to be found in the forum (& within the Gov UK archives website) - if that floats your boat.
Don't forget to keep scans & copies of all docs and form plus payment details and any cover letter - for your records & in case of any dispute.tresgoya wrote:Thanks for ur swift help! I just really want to get this bundle out the door now.
One more thing if you don't mind. I did fill out the 'monster form' already, however yesterday I saw the old EEA3 form on the gov.co.uk site, updated in Jan 2014. The one which was about 40 pages (not the one made by one of the users, i have that one). Would u have a link to that original gov.co.uk EEa3 form? I've spent at least 30 minutes trying to find it but google doesn't spit it back, found one which I couldn't download and my browser history comes back empty handed as well. Would love to take a look at it.
They are old forms. HO doesn't maintain them anymore.tresgoya wrote:HI,
No I actually mean this one

Is this still valid? Why it only says though to pay £55?
