Tier 1 Entrepreneur Child Dependent Outside UK - BRP Issue

Hi ,

I've applied Tier 1 Entrepreneur Dependent for my new born baby from outside UK though baby was born in UK but due to some reasons baby has travelled abroad so that the reason we've applied Tier 1 Entrepreneur Dependent Visa from outside UK.

Our Baby Visa got approved by UKVI and got 30 days Vignette Entry Clearance along with Approval Letter in that letter it says that baby needs to collect BRP from local post office which we have selected while filling the application. The letter says that BRP will ready to collect from 14th May ,2016 but till now BRP has not arrived to collect from post office. I've reported to BRP team regarding this and they said due to some technical issue production of BRP's are being delayed and please wait while we notify when it is ready.

But our situation is we need to travel abroad along with baby but we haven't got BRP yet my mind is blank and don't know what to do in this situation. Experts please advise as we need to travel abroad asap.

Go abroad. Enjoy it. When you come back show the border person that HO delayed BRP (email?), they might have to go to back office to check that 10 min wait and they will let you in with no issues.

You need to get the BRP before travelling outside otherwise you could face problems at the border.

My UK born Child entered without any issue (except border agent saying to get it fixed) before we even sought visa. He said they are not going to deny entry to baby with two legal visa'd parents.

I take vinny's point that my passport does not need a visa to visit UK so airline would have no issue at all boarding child.

in your case especially, you have the visa granted just not the BRP due to HO issues. so if you really have to go I would (other option is to give POA for someone to pick up BRP and send to you)

The OP is of Indian nationality and needs evidence of right to enter the UK (BRP) just to check in for a flight and board from India back to the UK. Airline won't allow the child to fly if they do not have a BRP.
