Hi,
I have been a silent reader of this forum since my student days (2008), been using the forum to apply for various visas previously held. The forum is unbelievably helpful, definitely more than the UKVI! So bravo to the founders!
I am booked to attend PEO, for my ILR application next week. The ILR application is on the basis of 5 year stay as a Tier 2 General.
Query 1
I have gone through the FAQ on this page, and it helped with quite a number of queries. However I am stuck with one, that I am not sure has been covered previously within the FAQ and also the FORUM in general.
In Set (0) page 83, applications holding Tier 2 visa are required to produce this:
"For the period before you were granted leave as a Tier 2 migrant, document showing that you met the relevant requirements of the immigration rules".
Please could someone clarify or confirm what sort of documents would suffice? I would be very thankful.
Query 2
My wife entered the UK as a work permit dependent in May 2011.
In November 2013, due to my change of employment, I changed my visa from Work Permit (PRE PBS) to Tier 2 General.
My wife changed her visa to Tier 2 dependent at the same time.
As such, does my wife qualify for ILR based on 5 year stay (i.e. since May 2011) ? Or would she need to extend her dependent visa (ie clock restarted in November 2013 due to change of visa?) ?
I would be very grateful for your thoughts.
Thanks.
Regards,
