Irish Immigration advise

Post by prabren » Fri Jun 17, 2016 5:50 pm

I am a British national and my wife is an Indian. We got married this year April in India. Currently, she is in India as we haven't applied for a UK visa. I have got a job in Cork, Ireland and I moving to Ireland on 4th of July. She wants to join me in Ireland. We have done a bit of research and found out that she needs to apply for a EU1 residence card while she is in Ireland. Can someone please advise me on which visa type will she need to enter into Ireland and how does she apply for it. Also, what documents does she need to submit apart from the obvious ones (both our passports, marriage certificate, my letter of employment).

Suggest start in INIS website. Have you checked?

:!: Be aware of significant delays in procuring such an entry visa.
(As discussed in other topics in the forum).

Yeah, dealing with inis is a bit of a nightmare.

I wish you luck with everything because it's most likely going to be a very long and frustrating process.

Thank you for the reply. Do you think we need to provide any proof of relationship like photographs, phone conversation details like you have to when you apply for UK spouse visa?
