When to apply for ILR

Post by Najia » Wed Jun 22, 2016 7:48 am

Can any one guide me regarding when to apply for ILR .I were granted a visa :Tier 2 General on 27th August 2011 but I entered UK on 11 Sept .
As I can see from different post that one can apply 28 days before the date the visa was granted which will be in my case 30 th of July 2016.

If this is correct ,my second question is that I can book any date for my appointment in those 28 days .or it should be sharply on 28th day .As 30 and 31 st will be weekend .

You can apply 'within 28 days' of your visa start date. It does not have to be on the 28th day but any time within that 28 day period.

Were your children born in the UK?

How soon I can apply for my kids . Whenever you are ready. How long have they been in the UK, how old are they and what about the other parent?

I want that they get British passports . That comes later unless they were born in the UK. There is a whole other expensive process for citizenship first before they can get passports.

Kindly guide me d send me any link which is having all these details .

I'm not sure what you mean by 'straight away'. Before they will be issued with a British passport you will need to apply to register them on an MNI application. The fee will be £749 for each child + the passport fee. The registration and passport are separate application.

It currently £936 for children MN1. Think you need tea.
