WRS and citizenship

Post by Hofik » Fri Jun 24, 2016 9:39 pm

Hi All
I'm EU citizen who came to UK in 2006 and commence employment in October that year without registering in WRS as not informed by my previous employer.
I have left employment after 3 months and became self employed till now.

Can I apply for citizenship in current situation or have to wait till 2017?

If you were s/e from 2006 or 2007 you may have acquired PR by 2011/12.

The work needs to have been genuine and effective; you need good supporting evidence.
if so you could apply for DCPR now.

Once you have DCPR, wait 12 months (unless married to a BC) before shooting for privilege of citizenship.
