ILR - Question on 35K Threshold

Post by RaghuKarnati » Tue Jun 28, 2016 7:57 pm

Hi. I want to check if I am eligible for applying ILR application.
I have been on TIER2 General Visa since January 2013 and by January 2018 I will complete 5 years on Tier2 General Visa. But my earnings since 2013 till date is only £28000 per annum. At the end of this year I will get a salary appraisal & is going to be £36000 per annum. So only from January of next year I will be on £36000 per annum.

My question is, should I show a Salary of £35000 per annum for all the five years spent on Tier 2 General or is it enough to have £35000 salary at the time of applying for ILR application?

I am not clear on this. Please can someone explain this to me. I will be very much thankful to you.

The salary requirement is on application for ILR, no time before is specified.

You need to meet the £35k requirement at the time of applying for ILR (as the rules stand now).

So this means, as per current rules, I am eligible to apply for ILR in 2018 if I can show an earning of £35000 at that time. And the 4 years that I earned less than £35000 should not be a problem right??

It is going to go up every year, I think for the next two years, it is 35,500...
