Grants/ financial assistance for BRP transfer

Post by anyamabee » Tue Jun 28, 2016 10:00 pm

Hi

I was just wondering if anyone knows of any organisations that offer grants/ financial assistance with immigration issues such as the cost of transfer of BRP into a current passport. I was not aware of the law change and was made redundant last year and have only just found out that everyone with IRL now needs BRP in order to prove one's right to work. Unfortunately without a job, I cannot stump up the fees so I am now in a catch 22.

Thanks

No, unfortunately there is no such help for immigration issues as far as I am aware. Best would be to either seek advice from CAB or try get some help from family or friends.

I spoke with CAB who have put in touch with the local Immigration Aid Unit, but whilst I was waiting to hear from them I just thought I would see if others have been in the same situation of as me. Thanks anyway
