Job Creation - Pre-April 2014

Post by thebestman » Wed Jun 29, 2016 5:47 pm

Hi, can someone please help me

I am about to apply for an extension under Tier 1 - entrepreneurship category and I'm told that I don't fulfill job creation requirement.

I have one employee who worked part time for 530 hours and left. Another employee joined after him and she worked part time for 960 hours and she was then converted into full time employee and she worked for 1690 hours as a full timer. So, total number of hours they worked for was 3180 hours. I think I have met the rule of employing someone for 3120 hours in two years (30hours x 52 weeks x 2 employees). However, my lawyer said that when two employees worked part time they did not work in the same time period, hence it was creation of a part time job and not the full time job.

Can someone please clarify this for me..

Many Thanks

Hi I just noticed, its Pre April 2014. I think, you are right and solicitor need to look into the guideline again.

Thanks 9elizabeth for the reply. Is there any guideline about it that I can read? Any help is appreciated.

Only 30 hours a week can be considered. So if your 1690 hours is from many 40 hour weeks you have not met the job creation requirments
