ILR In Person - Questions

Post by mohanddo » Sun Jul 03, 2016 12:53 pm

Hi Everyone,

Great forum here. It's been very valuable to read everyone's experiences.
I am applying for ILR in person in a few days and had a few small questions.

[*]I have already paid the fee when making the appointment online. Do i still need to fill the payment details page?
[*]There is a question about past addresses in 5 years. I have had 3 addresses but there is only space for 2. Should i write all of them in a separate paper and make a note? How to do this?
[*]Should i photocopy the application form?

Thanks in advance, really appreciate help!

[*]I have already paid the fee when making the appointment online. Do i still need to fill the payment details page? No, ignore the payment sheet, it is mainly for people who apply by post.

[*]There is a question about past addresses in 5 years. I have had 3 addresses but there is only space for 2. Should i write all of them in a separate paper and make a note? How to do this? Write two of them in the form and as the form asks, right on additional sheet of paper for what you cannot fit in.

[*]Should i photocopy the application form? Not for HO no, but always wise to keep a copy for yourself.

Thanks for the very helpful responses! I had 2 more very silly questions...

Can my wife come with me?
Do they allow you to bring laptop/phone inside?

If you are applying for ILR as a spouse, your wife is expected to attend the PSC with you. If she isn't able to be there she will have to write a letter explaining her absence.
I'll let someone else answer the mobile/laptop question.

Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.

Yes you can take a laptop/mobile phone.

Yes your wife can attend with you. But as Casa points out, if you are applying as spouse of BC/ILR person, she expected to attend with you. Only stating this as you have not said through which route you are applying for ILR.

Thanks a ton. Actually this is a 10 year residency route visa so my wife is not needed but she would like to accompany me.
Thanks a lot for the quick responses!
