Am in the same boat guys , I have applied on 3/10/2016 and it's been now 7 months , I have called the helpline many time and they keep sending the same email ( under consideration !)
Just yesterday I have sent email to my MP ,and honestly I don't know what to do next !! Shall I contact the PM office or shall I go the the media .. I don't know what to do .
And all the documents been checked and sent through experienced solicitor and we sent very strong documents ( bank join accounts statements , gas and electricity and cancel tax bills tenancy agreements.. all of them covering 5 years and my wife's PR and passports , everything original )
I don't know who I should contact now but am strongly thinking to send email to the PM or the media ..

Today I received my Permanent Residence! I Praise the Lord It's has been a long wait. My situation was really hard.
I have been separated from my EEA family member, I was married but due to Domestic Violence, I leave my husband 3 years ago.
I am just exposing my situation because maybe it can help someone in the same case. I didn't divorce my husband before sent my application. It was the advice that the solicitor gave me when I leave my husband. I could send my application to my PR.
So last year in 17/08/16 I sent my application. I completed 5 years leave legally on the UK on 13/09/2016.I sent my application 28 days before complete 5 years.

my timeline NON-EEA
17.08.16 sent application
24.08.16 money take
01.10.16 Biometric take
04.10.16 COA received
20.05.16 received my papers and the letter stated my BPR is Granted. It's should arrive within 10 working days by post!
if someone has been a victim of domestic violence and don't know what to do I am happy to help. As you can see my process take 9 months and 3 days. If someone is in the same situation be patient and put your faith in God!

Hi

I've been reading some of the comments and just wanted to ask about my timelines and if they're normal...it is taking a while. I've applied for a permanent residence as an EEA national (Poland) from within the UK.

Application Submitted 09/05/17
Money Taken 10/05/17
Documents signed as received 15/05/17

I have not heard anything from them at all and I have not received any further information or letters.

Is there anything I can do to speed this up so that I can get my passport back as I would love to be able to go to Poland for a few weeks during the summer ;)

Thanks

Thanks, you should be receiving it very soon as I dont think they are going to refuse your application or deay it anymore after passing six months.

https://contact-ukvi.homeoffice.gov.uk/ ... visastatus

I used my royal mail tracking number as a reference number, you may need to try few reference number for e.g case ID or any other reference number associated to your application. eventually one will work.

All the best.

Good afternoon everyone and thank you for contributing as it provides very important information for clueless people like me.

I'm an EEA citizen and I've applied for residence card for my wife (South Korean). She's already in the UK under Family Permit, which is due to expire in August. She couldn't come when the 6 months started and so, she arrived in June.

Application sent: 28/06/2017
Application received : 29/06/2017
Payment taken: 30/06/2017

Based on everyone's timelines, I'm expecting a biometrics letter coming soon.

Can someone help me with the following questions:
- Can I request the passports back to be able to leave the country on holidays? How do I do that and how long does it take? Does it affect the process?
- Since her permit is expiring, is there any problem with this?

Thanks
