Amnesty Visa for long resident immigrants

Post by kunfayakun » Thu Jul 21, 2016 2:42 am

Hello everyone, i would like to know some recent information regarding amnesty visa for long resident immigrants.

Recently I have heard that the home office is granting amnesty visa for long term residents and one of my friend today received the letter from the home office stating that they have been granted leave to remain as he was failed asylum seeker been here for 8 years and appeal rights were taken away and about an year ago home office requested him to return back to his country but he refused to do so and kept reporting at the reporting centre but suddenly a month ago there was a letter from home office stating that he would no longer have to visit reporting centre. Finally today he received this letter granting leave to remain but not as a refugee.

Can someone please kindly clarify if this is going to be the case for other long term residents aswell hopefully this helps other members.

I would appreciate if you could reply with your opinions.

Thank you
Stay blessed

There is no amnesty and neither will there be one - the knock-on effects of one would be catastrophic....
