Forgive me if my question has been answered before . I am simply trying to understand this NTL card . My wife has an Indefinite Leave To Remain sticker in her ( old ) Passport . She is a Thai national. What advantage is there in applying for the NTL card ? It costs £308 ..... it involves Biometric information and some messing around . She worries about it all . But I cannot see any advantage in getting it anyhow ! Can anyone please tell me why I should go for it ? Please ?

Useful for new
employers or landlords or if her records gets
deleted.
However,
Naturalisation may be better.

Forgive me if my question has been answered before . It almost certainly has been answered before.
I am simply trying to understand this NTL card . Which I only heard about in the last week.

There's no urgency here . We're not planning to go abroad in the near future . But can anyone please tell me any good reason why I should go for this Card ?
Please ?|

If she wishes to change jobs (if she works), she will need a BRP card (NTL). Her ILR in her visa won't be accepted.

Thank you CR001...... and thank you vinny .
As she is a sweet lazy lump she doesn't work so she has never needed to show her ILTR to anyone .
We did go for a UK Passport one time but she learned all her English from " Eastenders" so when she told the officials that they were " Well out of Order " we knew she was probably failing her Language Test .
A new Record Low Score probably .
Thank you again.

She'd need to be a British Citizen before be able to apply for a UK passport.

Well yes .
The Language Test is part of that process .
It's the little fence you have to jump over . Only 18 inches high . She jumped about 2 inches ! .
She would have done better if she had simply guessed all her answers
