Visit visa to UK

Hi

My mum and dad are both retired. i am currently living in UK with my british citizen husband. we would like to invite my parents to come over for a visit for 2 weeks. my question is, do they need a showmoney for them to apply although we will be paying for everything such as plane tickets, foods, accommodation and even we will send a little pocket money. im just wondering if they need a money to show at the time of the application.
