Switching from dependent visa (Tier 2)

I need help.

I am currently on a TIER 2 dependent VISA but would like change from a dependent to a the main VISA holder. I wanted to check if this is something that I can do in country or I will have to leave the UK to my country to submit a VISA application

You have to apply from your home country. Your sponsoring employer will also have to complete the full and proper RLMT process to prove to HO that you have not been pre-selected, if you are already an employee of the company.

Does your sponsor have a sponsor licence?
