vv sponsor docs

Post by tubeman » Sun Aug 07, 2016 4:32 pm

Hello I am new here. Please excuse me if this is in the wrong section. I have a lady friend who needs a vv for a holiday to the Uk from thailand. I am sponsoring the trip. It is a bit short notice and I do not want to bother posting vast amounts of paper in the post. The old UKBA website used to specify exact docs. If memory serves me right it is photocopies of my passport all pages/photocopies of my wages slips / bank statements/sponsors letter ?. Question can I scan these and email them so that they can be printed off. She obviously needs to submit her docs etc.

Bank statements & pay slips must be originals and the copy of your passport should be legally certified. Proof of accommodation available during her stay must be submitted.

The crucial issue is whether your friend can submit proof of strong ties to her home country. As an example, the ECO will be looking for evidence such as permanent employment, ongoing studies, property ownership, family dependants etc. The challenge is to convince the ECO that she will return to Thailand without overstaying her visa. How long does she intend to stay in the UK?

You should include an itinerary of how she plans to spend her time here and if you are in a relationship you should declare this in the application to avoid it coming back and biting in you in the proverbial backside further down the line. :|

yes indeed she has 2 good jobs with regular pay and from well known employers(one main and one part time). Letters in English provided, only 2 weeks (sadly) but that's all most employers will allow I think

Thank you for the accommodation reminder and plan of trip etc.
