5 years

Thanks CASA, What is the meaning of the following statement if one can qualify for ILR after 5 years on TIER2? I am confused due to this.
How long you can stay on TIER2.
You can apply to extend your visa for up to another 5 years, as long as your total stay is not more than 6 years.

You need 5 years for ILR.

You cannot have a tier 2 G for more than 6 years, there is a limit. Bear in mind that not everyone comes to the UK to get ILR/BC. They come for the experience.
