Used my indian passport now surrendering

Post by KiranKaur20 » Sat Aug 13, 2016 7:37 am

Can someone please help me with the process of surrendering my Indian Passport. I became a British citizen a few years ago, but didn't realise i had to surrender my Indian passport. I used my Indian passport once to go to India. I am aware i will have to pay penalties.

Do i make an appointment with my nearest VFS location, and fill in the surrender documents, etc? Will i pay any penalties there and then, or will this be a delayed process?

How long will the process take? Furthemore are there VFS locations that are quicker than others?

I am planning on going to India next month !
