Custom & Excise Notices and any impact on ILR ?

Post by gadag » Sat Aug 13, 2016 11:58 am

Hello Friends,

I will be applying for ILR by end of Sept.few queries on my application as below

1) UKBA - Notice of Seizure for my parcel sent from India via F***x has been seizures since it had few my wife's medicines.Notice was sent in 2015 Sept. there was no action required.it was mentioned that " if you don't give notice of claim within the period of one month or if any requirement of the above mentioned paragraph 4 is not complied with, the goods in question will be deemed to have been duly condemned as forfeited

Please read the accompanying 'Public Notice 12 A' which explains your legal rights in respect of the seizure of the aforementioned goods and the appeals procedures in accordance with paragraphs 3 and 4 of schedule 3 to the custom and Excise Management Act 1979.

Asper the link https://www.gov.uk/guidance/customs-sei ... -penalties I have not appealed it as no action required.

Does this notice will have any impact on my ILR ?. Will it be pop or recorded in my criminal hist ? just worried on this bit since i have not other notice or criminal records.

Also I have changed my visa (ICT to T2G)few months back.hope this notice will not be any issue for my ILR.

Thanks you All for your suggestions in advance.

No it won't.

Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.
