Long Residence-10 Years- Start Date-Query

Post by helpingperson » Sat Aug 13, 2016 6:23 pm

Dear All,

Please could you advise what date 10 years long residence clock starts i.e. from date of entry to UK or from date of approval of visa?

Also if someone got initial visa on winning appeal outside the UK, so he won appeal in home country and then granted visa after few months, then he came to UK, will appeal winning date be start date of 10 years?

I could not find this on Long Residence guidance, if you could please let me know relevant page.

Thank you.

10 years long residence ILR is counted from the date you ENTER the UK.
