How did you find out when it went to Dublin? I applied September, had its receipt acknowledged a few days later in London and then have not heard any more.

I did get through to the webchat week before last (luckily!) and was just told times are now 9-12 months from date received. I did ask if that was in London or Dublin and was told Dublin. So, will be interesting to see what your delivery is
I also asked about and was told that everyone will get an email.
But, I'm still not sure if this is all just the script the webchatters were using. I got no details about my own application other than he confirmed it had been received.
You will be disappointed if you are expecting your FBR cert when you had only applied in December.. sorry. It probably just a letter from your mother-in-law informing you that she is coming to live with you. I rang the embassy in London one day and just managed to get through to a helpful person who gave me an update! What do you mean when they say everyone will get an email? I’m expecting nothing else to be delivered so I’m very hopeful but will probably be disappointed when I go to collect at 7am tomorrow!
spiderplants wrote: ↑Sun Mar 10, 2019 8:58 pmJust that, everyone is now supposed to get an email before the certificate. Some here have reported getting one, others not. But, as a previous poster suggested the process has changed so that everyone gets one, I thought I'd ask. And he said that's the case. We'll see.

Alas, If this experience has taught us anything, it is that is can be much longer. I remember telling Michael when I was added to the register that he would be done in a few weeks. I was very wrong on that.
I received mine through Royal Mail Special Delivery; I think my FBR certificate was posted to the London Embassy then posted onto me from there, though I think I received mine before the processes changed so might not be accurate any longer.
I have heard “a watched clock doesn’t move”.Bluegill wrote: ↑Mon Mar 11, 2019 12:50 pmMy application was received January 16th. Straight forward application with no complexities. I double triple quadruple checked to make sure I included everything I needed.
2 months have already flown by because I didn’t really think much of it until this morning. From looking through these posts some of you post multiple times a day. Of course it’s going to feel like it’s taking forever. Ever heard the expression a watched kettle never boils?
I suggest the rest of you people do the same. Go about your lives and in no time you’ll be Irish!
Never mind. It actually said 'certified/notarised'. Answered my own question...tomocrowley wrote: ↑Tue Mar 12, 2019 11:48 amHi all, (hopefully) quick question:
I'm planning on registering on the FBR. It says that I need a 'notarised' copy of my passport, but lists a number of entities who can do it that aren't Notary Publics. Does it need to be actually notarised, or can it just be certified by a bank/post office/etc.?
Thanks all!
