Additional documents been asked on 2nd Sept. and submitted on 22nd Sept 2017
Since then no result. I had called many time to them- same feedback I got.. under review....
I think.. its all about luck ...can anybody advise how to contact London embassy, I hope they have some news for me... I have tried email option-but no response received... Thanks
Got the baptismal certificate for my Grandmother (Mary has changed to May by the time she married my Grandfather) and the 'application is proceeding' according to the DFA officer in Dublin.. so fingers crossed I will hear something positive soon!
Hi again all,ninal01 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 02, 2018 8:55 amHi all - as an update to my timeline, just over a week ago I prodded London embassy again and I was told that my application was in advanced stage in Dublin!
Timeline since my first post was ages ago:
4 Sept 2017: submitted online application
6 Sept 2017: submitted paperwork to London embassy
22 Feb 2018: advised that application was in advanced stage in Dublin
Who knows how long it will take, but I'm hoping maybe another week - anyone know roughly how long theirs took from 'advanced stage'?
SO EXCITING!
Recommend you to phone the number at the foot of their email and talk to your caseworker. You won't be the first with this kind of issue and they won't be deliberately obstructive. Good luck!sera1 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 20, 2018 4:22 pmI applied in late September 2017 and finally heard back today, in late March 2018
My grandfather changed his name from Eleazar to Jack ...but not by deed poll! (because 'things were different back 40 years ago' etc) The name on his birth certificate therefore does not match the one on his driving license or passport
They asked if they have any evidence of the name change, don't know what to do???
Same is happening with me as well. I had submit all docs. in 2nd June. sept 10 they have asked additional documents and 22nd sept I have submitted and from then I am just waiting. as per Embassy, 6 months time period starts after submitting all correct documentation. so I am counting days. Good luck to you as wellpixie1230 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 21, 2018 12:44 amHello Everyone!!
I submitted my daughters application(6 month old baby) Last nov 2017.
Feb 2018 asked for additional documents.
Mar 2018 submitted the documents.
And now they told us to wait for another 3-4 months for decision.
I wonder what else do they need to check that will take that long?
I know its just 6 months altogether from the date of application, and for us it will take 2-3 months longer than 6 months if we need to wait for another 3-4 months again. What sort of things do they need to check??? I am hoping that our baby will not turn 1 year old when she gets to Ireland.
