Sorry, but this just reminds me of an old joke story.Michael123 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 14, 2018 10:19 pmWhen I called he mentioned that he saw that I had called on 10/30. Apparently that is also kept on record.
Congrats! It looks like it's a good week for some of us in this threadbostonceltics wrote: ↑Thu Nov 15, 2018 2:39 pm
15th November : E-mail from DFA confirming application approved and forwarded for FBR certificate printing
Congratulations; this gives me hope, my documents were received in the London Embassy on 25th July and I've not received any further requests for information so I'm hoping I'm not too far behind!bostonceltics wrote: ↑Thu Nov 15, 2018 2:39 pmCongratulations to all those who got approved in the past week.
My update is as follows :
8th July: Applied online : 8th July
20th July: Documents Received by London Embassy
7th November : E-mail from DFA requesting clarification re: marriage cert (Grandmother) and additional document
8th November : Additional Documents Sent to DFA in Ireland
12th November: Documents Received by DFA
15th November : E-mail from DFA confirming application approved and forwarded for FBR certificate printing
So, assuming I get the certificate and original documents back in early/mid December, about 5 months all in all.
I have taken up the recommendation from PasadenaTom to JPauls on Tuesday and have e-mailed the Irish Embassy in London for an APS2 passport form today to get completed and witnessed before the certificate comes back. Therefore, the certificate can be opened, enjoyed briefly and subsequently returned to the Cork passport office.
Good luck to those on both sides of the Atlantic still waiting to hear.
My documents were received in London on 25th July. Hopefully not long now!Hi James
Thank you for your query.
Your application has been put forward for approval.
This is the final stage in the process but due to a high volume of applications it will take a number of weeks before it reaches completion.
Kind Regards

Consular Directorate
Unsure I’m afraid, the only date I have is the date they were received at the Embassy.
No news yet. I keep checking first thing each day, but nothing so far!Michael123 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 20, 2018 5:11 pmUnderstood. A completely different process.
Sean015, any news?
Mine was submitted for final approval on 9/27. 11/5 they contacted me for new birth certificates. Those were received 11/13 and I was entered on to the register that same day. Assuming I'd sent the right ones in the first place, it would have taken about 5 weeks from the time I was submitted for final approval. Hopefully you're almost therebrawn401 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 27, 2018 4:24 pmanyone had any recent updates? My application was sent at the beginning of July. A quick call to the FBR registry office in Dublin the other day informed me that my application was sent to Dublin for final decision on the 9th November (I applied to the London Embassy originally). Any ideas how long it takes from then to get a confirmation of the decision?
