Tier 2 ICT Short term + Long term to ILR

Hi,

I am confused with so many answers on the ILR from Tier 2 ICT where most say it is not possible. However today, I took a test on UKBA website https://www.gov.uk/settle-in-the-uk and found the below

To qualify, you must have had at least one of these visas in the 5 years:

-Tier 2 (Intra-Company Transfer) issued under the Immigration Rules in place before 6 April 2010
-Work Permit for an intra-company transfer

I understand the 1st point but not the 2nd. Can anyone explain this please?

Also, I was here on ICT short-term (1 year) and now on Long-term (5 years). Can I apply for ILR before Long-term expires, as I complete 5 years when I am in 4th year of ICT Long term?

It would help if you listed the dates of all your visas (start and end).

The second point is not relevant as the Work Permit was replaced by the PBS routes (Tier 1, Tier 2 G and Tier 2 ICT).

Hi, thanks for your response. Please see below the dates

Tier 2 G - Jul 2012 to Aug 2013
Out of UK due to personal reasons - Sep 2013 to Feb 2015
Tier 2 ICT ST - Mar 2015 to Feb 2016
Tier 2 ICT LT - May 2016 to present

Also I am confused because they have mentioned it as "-Work Permit for an intra-company transfer" and not just "Work Permit". If they would have mentioned it this way then it is understood about replacement. Am I wrong?

You don't and won't qualify for ILR based on your ICT visa. Your previous Tier 2 G is irrelevant.

Forget about the Work Permit issue, it is not relevant to you and it is NOT a Tier 2 General. The work permit you are referring to was discontinued in 2008/09 and replaced with Tier 1, Tier 2 G, Tier 2 ICT.

Based on your information, you have NOT held a Work Permit for intra company transfer.

Actually, official website still mention ‘Work Permit for an intra-company transfer’ for ILR, so I am bit confused.
