HMRC self assessment statement of accounts

Post by tier1_again » Tue Aug 16, 2016 10:16 pm

Hi,

I am due to apply for citizenship soon after having spent 5 years on tier1 and then ILR.All the 5 years spent on tier1 was on full time employment and I moved to self employment this June.
I have a P45 for this tax year till June.
From a tax perspective I have till next June to file my tax returns and hence I will not normally have an HMRC self assessment statement by the time I submit my application. Any advise on how to deal with this situation?

Regards

Am no expert but the form mentions you submit latest SA statement. In your case 1st SA declaration will happen only in 2017. So you don't really need to provide anything just P60 & P45 if you wish.
