FLRm Accom and Finance

Post by SAMISPOUSAL » Fri Aug 19, 2016 11:18 am

FLR m questions please help
We bought our own lovely detached house recently and there is just the two of us only, so there is no overcrowding ...there is nice Spam and bathroom ..Is it ok if we do not have a housing report or estate agent report.? Obviously we will send land reg title docs and estate agents SALES particulars (from when we bought the place) EPC and photos and floor plans and voters registn . I understand this is OK .Has any one had this experience ?

We are sending in the three years old IELTS cert (pass at B1 in speaking and Listening)which was accepted to get entry clearance visa. The test and the cen are still approved by Home office and British Council. I understand this will be OK. Has any one had this experience

is it ok to show pension fund value as savings ? can pension fund value count as savings ? Pension funds are now available as drawdown and not locked in. Has anyone had any experience with this ?
Thanks

My understanding is you only need a property inspection report when you share the property with extended family or other tenants you are not related to.

I cannot comment on the remaining queries.

Pension funds are invested, generally on the stock market and value can fall which means that these won't qualify as savings if they haven't been drawn down when you submit your application.

Aren't you able to meet the £18,600 p.a. minimum income level?

Thank you for response
yes pension funds are investments
But surely, I politely ask, pension fund is a fund that can be available for drawdown. you can have ALL of the money at any time, ( 25 % of it tax free and rest taxable)
so can that fund value not count as savings ?
yes values do fluctuate, so then we can always submit the most latest values cant we ?
can i ask where exactly does it say that pension fund value cannot be used as a savings amount?

please reply

Have you drawn down the pension funds you want to include as savings?

Note:
10(e) To evidence a pension
(ii) At least one personal bank statement in the 12-month period prior to the date of application showing payment of the pension into the person’s account.

https://www.gov.uk/guidance/immigration ... d-evidence

What sum of pension funds do you intend to use as savings?

Thank you for reply Casa BUT you are on a completely different subject. You are looking at pension income. we are talking about the savings route. CATEGORY D ONLY

pension FUND is liquid FUND VALUE which can be taken as a cash lump sum at anytime (or a slow draw down or annuity etc) A person can have all that cash as a lump sum SAY for example £ 62 500 ?
if the pension fund is already DRAW down then its not a pension fund is it ? Then its an income ? pension fund is a FUND value that is just similar to a bank account.
SECRETSIMON do i understand this correctly ?
if the pension provider ( is a regulated inst ) sends a statement to show FUND VALUE is available as cash lump sum then its exactly the same as any bank account and can be used in a savings route ?
this is on page 50 of Appendix FM 1.7: Financial Requirement May 2016 I quote verbatim
7.4.4.
For example, in
the UK a ‘stocks and shares’ Individual Savings Account (ISA) does
meet the definition of a savings account and the funds can be considered as cash
savings if all the requirements above are met. Likewise, a pension savings account from which savings can be immediately withdrawn
