same day ILR and Tier 1 visa expiry

hi Admins / users could you plesae help here i am bit confused here

i have tire 1 general visa valid till nov 2017 and i have tax amendments for 2010-11 and for 1st time visa and my extensions on payee/ jobs salary only and recently in may 2016 i sorted with HMRC and paid tax and got updated tax calculation sheet as well

my question 1 i have ILR eligibility now if i apply for ILR if i got visa then its fine in case if its rejected then still i can stay and continue my work / job until my current visa (expiring in Nov 2017 )?

2. or Home office will cancel my current visa as well ?

even if your ilr application is refused, your current leave will continue.

By default existing leave will not be curtailed after an application refused unless they mention. But as you said they have the right to curtail existing leave or not ? I think they have the right, even I have heard that ILR revoked so they can curtail current leave too. Even citizenship could be revoked for deception !
