Tier 2 after comapny merged with another

Hi,

I'm on Tier2 visa under my company's sponsorship. The company will be merged with another company and will form a new company (new name, new set up etc). It's trough a carve out process now to be independent entity from the mother company and later on will be merged to the other company. I know under TUPE my employment rights are protected but any idea what would happen to sponsorship and my visa? Does the new company need to apply for sponsorship license and I go through the whole visa process again?
