Indefinite leave to remain

Post by Spelly05 » Thu Aug 25, 2016 6:34 pm

After 5years of claiming asylum,i was granted indefinite leave to remain. My biometric is written residence permit, indefinite leave to remain. My question is, should i use my national passport or should i apply for a travel document.

Am I able to travel to my country and come back without any problems? I am confused right now please help.

If you return to your home country (from which you sought protection), you run the risk of having your ILR revoked due to a false asylum claim.

Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.

No. otherwise you will be persecuted by the very people you sought refuge from. Unless you claim was false of course. Was it?
