Dependent 172 days absence on the stretch

Post by guyinlondon » Fri Sep 02, 2016 2:53 pm

Hi all,

It will be great to hear from someone who's been in a similar situation, or has some insight.

My Wife is on a Tier 1 General dependent visa and she will qualify for ILR in April 2018.

In one of the qualifying years 2015-16 she has absence of 172 days (broken up as: 172 days in one stretch).

I hold British citizenship.

This was obviously not a work-related absence nor paid annual leave. Can anyone confirm if it's at all okay to have a long unexplained absence still under 180 days, or are the UKVI going to give me a hard time about this?

Thanks in advance!

The absence limits do not apply to PBS dependents for ILR.
