Application refused sponsor changed jobs

Hello my application was refused because my partner changed her job on the 25th of August and started with a new job on then 28th of August haven resigned from the old job and
meanwhile has already sent the HO payslips covering six months back before the change of job. while waiting for the employment letter to send to the HO they refused my application saying they called the old job and they said she resigned.
Now am a bit confused because I don't really know if the payslips i sent to them was really updated and also what next to do. Appealing takes much time and am Confused if to make a new application or write to the caseworker or Make an appeal. Please kindly advice . Thanks
