Why do they need NARIC if their degree was taught in English?CR001 wrote:You need to apply for UK NARIC English Language Assessment (ELA). It is not 'an exemption from English' if you have a degree. The degree and NARIC ELA is the 'meeting the English language requirement'.

But not the application form and the guidance notes. I still believe you don't need a NARIC for the above case as neither the Guidance notes or the form refers to the Link you provided.noajthan wrote:Official website is quite clear.itsmylife wrote:@@ noajthan Any update on the above comment?

From the guidance notes as I have stated. Anything unclear?CR001 wrote:Page 9, paragraph e), 3rd bullet point of the FLR(M) guidance notes!! Clearly stated.itsmylife wrote:@@ noajthan Any update on the above comment?

e) You must meet the English language requirement
A person under 65 who is applying for leave to remain as a spouse, civil partner, fiance(e) or
proposed civil partner, unmarried partner or same sex partner of a British citizen or person settled
in the United Kingdom needs to show that they can speak and understand English. You can do
this if:
You are a national of a specified English speaking country.
You have passed an English language test in speaking and listening at level A1 of the
Common European Framework of Reference or above, with a Home Office approved
provider.
You have an academic qualification recognised by UK NARIC as equivalent to the standard
of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or PhD in the UK. This must have been taught in English.
It just says "recognised by UK NARIC as equivalent" and doesn't mention anything about NARIC certificate or the link provided by noajthan.CR001 wrote:Page 9, paragraph e), 3rd bullet point of the FLR(M) guidance notes!! Clearly stated.itsmylife wrote:@@ noajthan Any update on the above comment?
