RLMT questions

Post by pbutter » Thu Sep 15, 2016 6:53 pm

Dear forum members,
I appreciate your feedback on the following -

To satisfy RLMT, the position is advertised in 2 mediums.

(1) for the first medium, can the period be split into 3, still totalling 28 days over 2 months?

(2) If the second mediums used is 'western mail' (which is an approved print), do we have to advertise the position every day for 28 days? That would cost a fortune and wouldn't make sense.
Or is it enough to book a quarter page ad for a day and state that it closes in 28 days?

Thank you

Employer needs to get with the programme - and get their wallet out:
How long to advertise the job for

Each advert must run in the UK for 28 days in most cases, either continuously or in 2 stages.

If you advertise in 2 stages, each advert still needs to run for a total of 28 days and neither stage can be less than 7 days.

Thank you noajthan.
Does this apply to my second question as well? in print? would cost tens of thousands. Can't the advert state that it's valid for 28 days?

No, it has to run for a full 28 days or two stages and a single stage not being less than 7 days running.
