Re: Housing Benefit limited leave to remain

Post by zakir1988 » Tue Jun 28, 2016 10:07 pm

I went to the my local council office to give in my housing benefit form with my tenancy agreement the advisor told me it will not effect my wife's visa cause the tenancy is in my name not joint tenancy who will be paying the rent the advisor told me you will here from the housing benefit team soon they will see if I'm allowed housing benefit how much I should pay etc..

Now I'm abit worried and don't want the council to calculate the housing benefit including my wife just want to calculate only me and my daughter

confusion on Housing Benefit award Letter

Post by zakir1988 » Fri Jul 15, 2016 12:24 pm

I claimed for Housing Benefit as I work part time to my Local Council Tower Hamlets.

My wife who is under immigration who has got 30 months limited leave no recouse to public fund I have given my wife's immigration status documents so they know im only allowed Housing Benefit and Council Tax reduction so they know i can only claim hosuing benefit as I'm british citizen born here.

Now my question is I have received my housing benefit letter saying Couple with person and the ammount written and young pension under 11 ( my daughter ) ammount written is this fine the Housing Benefit is under my name only i have called my council they told me that my wife is not accessing public funds you are accessing it as its only in my name they told me by law they have to put down couple cause im married is this fine I want to just clarify this.

And lastly if my wife was not under immigration does the Housing benefit letter be in my name and my partners name.

Its the middle of the night in Western Europe and people are resting.

A simple search of the forum will be very likely to answer your question.
If you aren't able to do that for yourself then stand by until someone knowledgeable comes along and feels like answering.

If you really can't wait suggest contact your local CAB.

Have you/your wife ever considered applying to remove NRPF condition from your wife's leave!

Post by zakir1988 » Sat Sep 17, 2016 1:44 pm

Can someone tell me if someone looses there job and they are British citizen does that impact on there partners Visa.

My wife is on a 10 year route to ILR just want to know she got visa on FLR FP 10 year route parent.

I don't think it should impact her visa cause she got the visa on bases of our British citizen daughter
