Very urgent (FLR) M

Hi, please I need urgent opinion/guidance. I recently varied my FLR(M) and the case worker refused the application. Unfortunately it was refused on the 3rd of August 2016 and sent letter sent to my house address, I could not receive the letter as I relocated to another place and it was sent back to HO. home office resent it to my solicitor a month(5th of September 2016) after it was sent back as undelivered. Though HO have been communicating to me before now through my solicitor as I used my solicitor's address as correspondence address.now am in a state of CONFUSION right now. PLEASE IS MY 28 DAYS grace period still intact because I want to submit a FRESH APPLICATION. Can i claim to recieve the letter on the 5th of SEPTEMBER 2016 because that was the day my SOLICITOR SIGNED FOR IT.Please HELP ME OUT.

Did you vary FLR(M) to ILR?

Why did you not update HO with your new address or use Royal Mail redirection service?

Thanks for the reply! My solicitor has been handling everything. I got my acknowledgement and biometric letter through him and also HO wrote to my solicitor to request for further payslips. So before now all communication from the HO has been through him. BUT I don't understand why the HO sent the DECISION letter to my address. I updated my address with the solicitor but he never updated it with the HOME. PLEASE WHAT CAN I DO? AM IN A STATE OF CONFUSION DUE TO MY SOLICITOR'S NEGLIGENCE. THE CORRESPONDENCE ADDRESS HAS BEEN MY SOLICITOR'S
