Effect of previous visa refusal on ILR

Post by jayacharm » Thu Sep 22, 2016 11:21 am

Dear all,
I am new a new member. I would like to make an inquiry about ILR. :)
I am currently a Tier 2 dependant. Since I found a sponsor, recently I made an application to switch to Tier 2 visa for myself from out of the UK. This visa has been rejected due to an error in the CoS. But I came back to the UK under my existing dependent visa. I would like to know if that visa refusal has any negative effect on our ILR 10 year long residence application? Please kindly advise.

Thank you.

No it shouldn't.

Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.
