ILR (LR) 10 year route (190 days gap)

Post by Saf845 » Sun Sep 25, 2016 2:34 pm

Hi helpers,

I came to uk on 9th October 2006 on student visa.

Oct 2006 - Oct 2010 - I was on a student visa and did my degree.

Oct 2010 - Dec 2012 - got job and switched to PSW

Tier 2 Sponsor license was introduced in Feb 2012. My employer applied for sponsor license in Feb 2012 but got license in Nov 2012. HO quoted 12 weeks but took 38 weeks which meant I had to leave UK in Dec 2012.

My company sent me to our office in France where I stayed till I was issued a CoS which enabled me to return to UK. This meant I was out of UK for 193 days without valid visa. This was due to HO taking exceptionally long in issuing sponsor license. (38 weeks Instead of 12 weeks).

I have since return been on Tier 2 sponsor visa starting July 20013 - July 2019.

Can I apply for ILR (LR) now claiming compassionate grounds.

Is there a similar case. Please help and its urgent please!!!!

Please help.

Regards

Absence of more than 180 days breaks your continuous residence. So no, you cannot apply for ILR LR.

How is HO taking long 'compassionate grounds'?
